Giving to God's work through WBC

There are various ways you can give financially to our church:

1. Online using the form below
2. By Standing Order
3. [Under normal circumstances] cash or cheque in the offering plate

Online giving

As we are not able to meet together at this time we have decided to set up this online giving facility so that those who normally rely on putting cash or cheques into the offering plate during a service have an easy way to give a gift during "lockdown" without having to set up online banking.
Please note that all gifts made via the website will be allocated to our 'General Fund' unless you let us know otherwise. If you are giving a gift for the Mission Fund or for any other purpose please email Rachel Tole so it can be allocated correctly.

Regular Giving by Standing Order

Many of those that give regularly do so by Standing Order.  If you would like to do this, our bank details are shown below.

Tax-payers are encouraged to Gift-Aid their giving enabling us to increase your gift by 25% and forms to do this are available to download here or by speaking to Rachel Tole.

If you have a CAF giving account then you can also set up regular or occasional payments through that.

Any questions, please talk to Rachel.

Giving during services

Most Sunday mornings we take an offering for God's work during the service, when you can give cash or a cheque.

Under the government's Gift Aid Small Donation Scheme we can claim 'Gift Aid' on cash donations up to £30, so if you are giving occasional cash there is no need to complete a Gift Aid form. If you want to give (and no offering was taken) you can give your gift to a member of the Finance Team (David B, Rachel T and Sandy W).

Planning your Visit

A Warm Hello

The following information is specifically for those planning a visit, so that you know, beforehand, what to expect on a Sunday morning.

Where and When

We meet at the Church Building (details below) for our Sunday Service starting at 10.30am. For your first visit, we recommend arriving 10-15 minutes early to ensure you get a parking space and find somewhere to sit before the service begins. When you arrive, you should be greeted by someone on our Welcome Team.

Plan your journey:

Open Google Maps

Accessibility: There is wheelchair access, and a sound loop for anyone who needs it. Please let one of the Welcome Team know on your arrival and they will help you to get set up. There is a disabled toilet in the main foyer.

Our Service

The main service begins at 10.30am with a warm welcome from our Pastor or another member of our team. Then we have a time of sung worship, led by musicians. Sometimes a person might pray out loud or read a small passage from the Bible. Sometimes people share things that they believe God is saying to the whole church family. This might seem strange the first time you hear it but it’s all part of our connecting with God. One of our leaders will then give a sermon that is Bible based and that we can apply to our everyday life. We then finish with a final worship song.

What about my kids?

[this whole section would need altering for Covid 19 way of doing things]
We have a great programme lined up for kids of all ages:

  • Creche (0 months to 3 years). Children under 6 months are welcome but must be accompanied by their grown-up at all times.
  • Splashgang (school years R-2)
  • Supergang (school years 3-6)
  • Young people (school year 6+)

Children stay with their grown-ups at the start of the service for the welcome, songs and notices. We really value worshipping God all together as a family. Someone will announce that it’s time for the younger members to go to their various groups.

The kids group activities vary depending on the age but usually there is a friendly welcome, Bible stories, praying, music, craft, fun games and free play. Please pick your children up as soon as the service finishes.

Getting Connected

Life Groups

While Sundays are a great way to meet new people, it is often in smaller gatherings that you can really get to know someone. Being part of one of our life groups allows you to make new friends, share together and support each other. We have a variety of groups that meet throughout the week, some afternoons and some evenings. Check out our Life Groups page and contact us. We can put you in touch with a life group leader who will be more than happy to invite you along to their group.

Other Ministries

We also run/support the following ministries:

We hope that whoever you are, you will feel at home at our church.
